Last call for Shaw Guild Executive Positions

Would you like to be a part of the Shaw Guild Executive Committee?

In November several positions on the Shaw Guild Executive will be coming to the end of their current term. Anyone who has been a Shaw Guild member for at least 1 year prior to nomination may put his/her name forward to the Nominating Committee to stand for election.

The following executive positions are for a term of 2 years. Executive members are expected to attend monthly meetings from January until November and to prepare reports for these monthly meetings. Good computer skills are necessary for all of these positions.

The positions up for election are:

Communications Chair

The chair is responsible for sending out timely e-blasts to our membership as well as producing five newsletters annually. The chair maintains the Shaw Guild website.

Hosting Chair

The chair is responsible for setting up the hosting schedule for the season and supervising the team of Hosting Captains who arrange for volunteers to fill the hosting shifts at the theatres and the Members Terrace.

Membership Chair

The chair is responsible for recording annual memberships and hours worked by our volunteers and maintaining the master member database.

Shaw Theatre Gardens Chair

The chair is responsible for recording the hours and representing the team of volunteer gardeners that maintain the Festival and Royal George gardens.
